Apex Civil Construction was the major contractor on this project for City of Kingston. Our company was engaged to carry out Athletics track upgrades to the Chelsea Athletics precinct including but not limited to demolition, earthworks, drainage, pavements and surfacing. A major aspect of this project was the synthetic rubberised surface, that was able to fit into the clients budget and specifications. Apex managed all aspects of this project, self performing most of the works and continuing to partner with accredited specialty-service contractors, whilst upholding the highest quality and safety standards.

Demolition:
– removal of existing infrastructure to make way for the new design and updated specifications

Earthworks:
– excavation and subgrade remediation

Drainage:
– construct drainage system to meet requirements and integrate into exisiting system

Pavements:
– tight tolerance pavements installed with millimetre machine control

Surfacing:
– this project included the installation a 13mm thick IAAF approved Spartan BS athletics synthetic surface
– Laykold surface repairs to velodrome
